Swaziland...
...was not a theme park.
I was MOST disappointed.
-----------------------------------------------
Well, I'm STILL in Africa...
So far I've done:
-Kenya (where I jumped with Masai warriors),
-Tanzania (including Zanzibar)
-Mozambique (where it rained almost continuously - although I ate the best seafood I have ever tasted in my life),
-Swaziland (where the King gets another new wife every year)
And now I'm taking my minor illnesses around South Africa (cough, cold, eye infection, etc).
After the busload of students, my new tour group consists of:
- me
- a married couple
and
that's it! Ho hum... Still, they're great fun - Aussies!
I'm all safari'd out.
I've seen The Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant & Rhino) but only eaten one (so far).
And there's a week to go! I'm really looking forward to coming home, but still left on the itinerary before arriving in Cape Town are:
an ostrich farm,
an elephant sanctuary,
Birds of Eden,
and Monkeyland
(which had better be a theme park...)

So which one did u eat?
-Somewhere in SEA-
I was in Kenya earlier in the year and failed to eat any of the Big Five, although I did try to persuade one of the park rangers that it would be really cool if he let me smuggle a lion cub back to England. He looked at me as if I was barking mad and said, "the lion will bite your leg, you want cheetah instead. Very friendly". Although, when I petted a cheetah in a animal orphanage later on in the trip she did take a decent slice out of my friend's ankle - purred at me though. Shame she didn't fit in my rucksack. Could do with a cheetah or two about the place to ward off the terrifying microbiologist that decloaks behind me the one single time I've forgotten to wash my hands... Crikey, I do type some rubbish when I'm drunk. Ah well.
This is completely unrelated to your capers in Africa...but I was reading one of your previous posts (Feb 13 2007) seeing as I've only just become aware of your existence...and you were commenting on getting a chronic cough after a simple cold. Incidentally, I get the same problem and yes, TB did cross my mind many a time during the bout of coughing. In fact my last serious attack was when I was in Chest,(was surrounded by mycobacterium) and it was gently suggested to me that I get a CXR. However being a chicken myself, I refused, was afraid I might ACTUALLY find out I HAVE GOT TB, it turns out... I do have an abnormality, a right cervical rib.
But anyway, was discussing this with a specialist and he said that it could actually be due to postnasal drip and which can worsen to bronchitis. And I always thought that a postnasal drip was about something dripping postnasally, but turns out it's not that literal. So his suggestion was steam inhalation, warm drinks, Pulmicort and compliance.
Just thought I would share it with you, considering winter is reaching the "round-the-corner" time of the year ... while all is sunny somehwere in SEA :)
