Religion

Not wishing to open up a can of worms, here's a truly excellent piece by Marcus Brigstocke about Religion.

amusing :) but a bit topical for the BBC?

I think you'll find it was a deluded would-be prophet who opened up that particular can thousands of years ago, and a whole horde of gullible worm-loving fools who have been spreading those horrible little buggers ever since.

The Now Show is one of the best programmes produced by the BBC.

Radio Four often has some very good comedy - Andy Hamilton's "Old Harry's Game" being my favourite so far...

Just happened to drift past your blog, and notied you seem to be quite the cyclist on the quiet or some such thing ;-).

If you're having trouble with your hunger after cycling, or before, might be the nutrition.

A lot of Pasta is High Glycemic, but it's made with refined flour, so the Carbs might not be giving you a proper energy yield, espeially if you're not having potentially enough Protein to go with your Pasta, the full feeling Protein can help give you might be missing.

Hunger is often a sign of eating too little, even if you have massive Pasta meals, doesn't indicate your nutrition is right, if you for example eat 3 times a day, and not 5-6 times, with smaller portions.

Possibly might neeed to slightly increase Fats as well, but certainly look into eating more Slow release complex Carbs before hand, like Brown Rice, etc etc and make sure you're nutrition is adequate enough elsewhere, as your Metabolism may be suffering if you increase activity, speed up Metabolism for a few hours, and don't adequately refeed, you might end up using Muscle instead, rather than Carbs, and any small amounts of dietry and body fat stores instead.

Maybe that sheds some light on the matter.

I can't say whether I might be back here at any point, but what I will say is don't think of stopping the cycling, and if needs be I recently posted something on my messageboard about how to get started, and stick to a new exercise regime.

So if you feel that, or anything else about my site can help you, to give yourself the kind of extra push you might benefit from, check my blog out, and you'll find my board link.

I'm always happy to have new peeps stop by and say hi, and you'll be welcome anytime you want to come and see us.

Whatever happens, don't be put off. You're clearly wanting to do something good for yourself, and I think you deserve to feel better, and get more from your body in the long-term, so good luck, and best wishes to you :-).

Steelboss, just thought you'd like to know that Suman is a doctor, so probably knows everything you said. It's all very nice, helpful advice for the rest of us though.

This comment has nothing to do with the posted video but would love to purchase a CD and DVD but the links are not working for me. Is there a mailing address? Apparently the website, www.amateurtransplants.com is also not up or accessible (at least that is the message I am getting). Love the songs--we have played them in the OR and laughed ourselves silly!

Thanks!
