Tom Petty's not a patch on Geri as I'm sure you're aware.
Tom Petty is one unattractive guy. One hell of a songwriter though. This is one of my favs. Also American Girl a la Scrubs.

Nice. I too always figured it was about the end of his marijuana days... not sure how this fits in. I'm thinking the reason it sounds reminiscent of the RHCP is that they ripped it off for Dani California
